The goal of Bitsy's Baubles is to provide beautifully cut gemstones while keeping the environmental impact to a minimum.

Many of the gems I cut come from North Carolina.  Most other gems out there come from such far off places as Africa, Asia and South America. 

My faceting machine, the Facetron, is made in America.  This cuts down on shipping travel and greenhouse gasses, as well as stimulates our own economy.

The studio I currently work in is run by wind power.  I share my studio space with Lucy, a silversmith (silver artist) with whom I often collaborate.  Her silver pieces are often made from recycled and reclaimed silver.  You can see her work at www.lfdstudios.com, as well as on my products page.
